It's a Menorcan sparrow taken on a balcony ledge...as you say they seem to be a rare breed these days..

This is dedication to spend 2 hours on the image! I am not one of patience, except on the actual picture taking. Sad to say, I don't even own editing software for that very reason. One of these days I will branch into this world. In the meantime I will enjoy images such as these and learn from the best!
