Some do...some don't....Posted by bronzebilly u.k. (Barry,Vale of Glamorgan, United Kingdom) on 17 August 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. There seems to be a split-decision about h.d.r. images, and where they can be used etc...personally I find them o.k.,as long as they're not overdone...any thoughts..??

Tracey from Maryland, United StatesGreat title. Love the vivid purples. I only card for HDR if it is well done. ;0) 17 Aug 2009 6:44pm susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesI love hdr's, as often as possible......and this one is just AWESOME !!! do you know Trey Ratcliff, the HDR king? i just learned, he's finally coming out with a book!!! if you don't know him, check out stuckincustoms.com 17 Aug 2009 11:01pm susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United Statesand glad to hear oscar's coming back !!! 17 Aug 2009 11:01pm Betsy Barron from Chester Springs, PA, United Statesagree, overdone is too 'cartoonish' - I like a small foreground or background accent in HDR but don't like to make it look fake! 18 Aug 2009 12:13am jeff (aka dogilicious) from Millerstown, PA, United StatesWhatever! Beauty is what it is: HDR or Not. ...this is fantastic. 18 Aug 2009 8:07pm Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United KingdomI guess I respect both extremes on HDR : added reality and the determined departure from reality. Done well, either can be impressive but the trouble starts when the efforts fall somewhere in-between. High time we had in-camera HDR and a decent dynamic range in the first place ! 19 Aug 2009 2:06pm Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld(Old West Wales boy), GermanyAAHH Billy mate,I´ve been away from Billyland for more than 3 weeks now.So many fantastic images to catch up on,they all look great.I´ll be posting non-processed holiday snaps of Wales and Kent over the next few weeks as a balance to your processing genius !! 20 Aug 2009 9:31am One from Açores, PortugalA beautiful composition and a perfect viewing angle, high efficiency in colors processing ! 21 Aug 2009 6:16am Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesI think this is a great study in purples and if it's HDR, so much the better. 21 Aug 2009 3:19pm Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesI really like this...but I do know what you mean about overdone sometimes...there is a fine line and you have to watch you don't cross it ; ) and you did not! 22 Aug 2009 1:18pm Magda from Vancouver, CanadaExcellent work! I'm with you! I like HDR as long as they are not over processed! You did well here. I like it :)) 23 Aug 2009 11:25pm Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South AfricaThis is magnificent Billy!!!
