The Daffodil is just one emblem of Wales (centre of the World)....

I didn't know that. If so, you've done your "centre of the world" proud with this one Billy. It belongs on a "SEE THE COLOURS of WALES" travel poster.

Why does this remind me of "Dr Who"? Masterful imagery and processing technique, as usual :)

@Ken McCoy: Hey Ken...funny you should say Dr.Who, as it's currently filmed in Cardiff, which is only 10 miles from me,but I haven't spotted them yet..

What did you use on this one to get those lower petals so... translucent? Really love the pp again billy!! But I especially LOVE how the stamen in the one daffie is so ... I don't know... showcased? prevalent? obvious? there?

2 Mar 2008 10:42pm

@amy: Yo cutes..I used Roxio Photo for most of this process..it's just made up of two simple cut and pastes the bottom paste is the leaves, whose opacity I set at about 80% to get that translucent finish...
I'm off to put on my real man's pink shirt now..

Wow. Once again, absolutely superlative piece, billy-ever-awesome. This gorgeous tribute to this amazing flower that often heralds spring for us, and your beloved Wales, is an outstanding wonder all its own. The first daffodils have started peeking out in our garden too. And they really are a welcome sight, though we’re still waiting for spring in all its fullness. :)
