Who's to Blame..???

Posted by bronzebilly u.k. (Barry,Vale of Glamorgan, United Kingdom) on 18 November 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

This grand old lady is owned by the local authority and they have left it empty and has become a ruin..
Are the graffiti kids a nuisance or are they only emulating their peers..???
Hmmm..??--billy

Dude!! Hi-5!! Now go take your dang turn eh?

You pose a very profound quandary... so does it all boil down to respect? Respect for ourselves and what we have and what other's have and demonstrating this with consistency? Shrug. Just another thought. And a great demonstration of that ugly side of graffiti... Great shot billy!!

i for one think of graffiti as a form of expression that sometimes is used in a destructive way. I also think that this image is really nice and good to look at.

hmm, this can almost pass off as a haunted house Uncle Billy.A bit of both i guess, somebody started as a nuisance and the friends followed?just my 0.5 cents worth..;)

Hmmmmm, billy-man-of-good-puzzles, your title's perfect for the lawyers to march in and start the law-suits!.....or maybe not, they'd probably make the mess even worse, ha ha ;)
On a more sober note, it is truly heartbreaking to see yet another building in such a state of neglect and abuse. A grievous reflection on the state of our 'civil' society. Your image truly evokes this. Ace piece, billy.

Your son is right Billy! Damn shame indeed! Great capture of the old house and a nice effect you put on it! I am wondering if your questiion might be related to how I used to feel as a kid. If I had a blank sheet of paper in front of me - I wanted to draw or paint. But I just didn't have that talent, and got so frustrated I would end up just scribblling all over it. But painting and scribbling on lovely old houses and buildings is something else - why don't their parents just give them a big blank sketch book at an early age!?
